My Experience with Makeup Revolution Blush Palette Blush Goddess:

Packaging: The palette comes in a rectangle shaped black case with a see-through lid. The lid closes with a click sound which makes it sturdy and travel-friendly. It is so secured that it will never open accidently. From the lid, you can see the beautiful 8 shades, 4 highlighters on the top row and 4 blushes on the bottom row placed in a round pan. However, no mirror or brush is provided with the palette which is one con.

SHADES: Starting from the highlighter row, all the highlighters wear beautifully on the skin. None of them are chalky. Though, there is a little bit of kick-back but I don’t mind that. They are highly pigmented. Swirl your brush just once and you get the desired amount.

shade 1: The first highlighter is pinkish in colour and is in the powder form. It is very soft to touch and I like to dust it all over my face for that subtle sheen.

shade 2: The second shade is also pinkish in colour but this is more in a baked form. This is very intense and blinding.

shade 3: The third shade is my favourite and my go to highlighter. It is the baked intense golden highlighter which suits my skin tone perfectly. It is perfect for those dinner dates or night parties.

shade 4: The fourth shade is the softest and more powdery than the first shade. The colour is also on the pinkish side but this is tad bit natural and gives a sheen and not glow.

Coming to the blushes: All the blushes are matte and they are very blendable. They are very soft and highly pigmented. I love the fact that each colour is very different from the rest. You should use a light hand with these, otherwise it will make you look like a clown. The blushes ranges from the peach to the darker tones in that spectrum.

shade 1: The first shade is in peach color and I have my heart on it. This colour is my go to, I literally use it everyday i:e whenever I go out. For more special occasions, I mix it with the fourth shade to make it little more pink. It suits my fair skin tone very well.

shade 2: The second shade comes across as a mauvey-pink color. It is very soft and blends easily

shade 3: The third shade is baby pink in color and I hardly use this shade. It looks too Barbie pink on my cheeks.

shade 4: The fourth shade is the darkest of the all. It is more on the coral pink side.

Staying power: The blushes stay for good 4-5 hours on me. I have a habit of continuously touching my face or resting my face on my hands so the blushes fade away soon. The highlighters wear for 5-6 hours , and after touching my face and as the day passes , the tiny particles of the baked highlighters starts to move around and spread on whole of my face, especially the middle two highlighters( baked golden and pink)

Pros of the Makeup Revolution Blush palette Blush Goddess:

  • blush and highlighter in one pan
  • reasonably priced
  • staying power is good
  • soft and blendable
  • can be reapplied
  • variety of colours to choose from

Cons of the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette Blush Goddess:

  • no mirror or brush with the palette

will ‘theblushcorner’ recommend it?

In one word, YES! I have never loved a makeup product this much. Honestly, I am a highlighter person and I have atleast 6 other highlighters including from the brand ‘benefit’ but I always reach for this. It is so handy and if you are travelling , there is no need to carry separate blushes or highlighters.

Let me know if you have one or if you plan to buy this

until next time!

xoxo
