I wanted to try the products from the colourpop brand for the longest time and finally i got my hands on it. Seeing all the rage on social media about the colourpop ultra matte lip, I ordered the shade ‘wild nothing’. I was looking for dark brown shade and thought it to be the nice colour. Now let’s read more about the lipstick:

My experience with colourpop ultra matte lip in the shade ‘wild nothing’

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a cylindrical bottle with a metallic silver twist up cap. It is a transparent bottle which makes it easier to see the shade. The shade matches the tube perfectly. Though, it tends to appear slightly different on the lips on application. It has a doe-foot applicator and has a suction opening which prevents excess product coming out of the tube. The applicator is soft, precise and can be used to outline the lips as well. The bottle is very sleek and easy to carry around.

Shade: I bought the shade wild nothing. It is a darkest brown colour. It looks little reddish brown in pictures but in person it is very dark. The colour is versatile and will suit every skin tone.

Fragrance: It does have a little chemical smell to it but on application, it fades away.

Texture: The formula of the lipstick is mind-blowing. This is the finest and comfortable liquid lipstick I have tried. It glides on the lips like butter and within 5 minutes, it dries down to a matte finish. Unlike other liquid lipsticks, it doesn’t dry out my lips. It wears beautifully and doesn’t settle into my fine lines but still exfoliation is a must. It is pigmented and goes opaque in one swipe without any sticky feeling. You can easily rub your lips together.

Staying power: The lipstick stays on for good 7 hours without being patchy depending on what you are eating. If within 7 hours, you have your meals then it might crumble but otherwise It is 100% transfer proof and smudge proof. It doesn’t budge at all. It survives drinks but after eating, it fades from the centre of the lips. It still doesn’t look blotchy. But after eating heavy duty food, like eating mangoes for example, it fades and looks bad on the lips.
